Java (Apache CloudStack) devops

We're looking for a passionate developer who wants to collaborate with the Apache CloudStack community to develop new features and resolve bugs for the CloudStack project. In addition you will be assisting our System Administrators with running CloudStack

For our cloud computing platform we use the Open Source project Apache CloudStack, one of the most advanced cloud orchastration projects. We are looking for a developer who, together with us and the Apache CloudStack community, can improve the project by adding new features and resolve bugs.

What are the duties associated with the position?

The Apache CloudStack project is a important piece of our cloud-strategy. We use it very actively and we contributed to the project in multiple manners. We are looking for a person who can improve the software by adding new functionality and resolve bugs.

Apache CloudStack is an open source project, so from our organization we will support you to interact with the community not only via e-mail, but you will also be able to visit conventions. Contributions to a open source project always have to be discussed with the community!

Who are we looking for?

  • Your social skills allow you to interact with your colleagues and the Apache CloudStack community in a professional matter.
  • You have a open source mindset and with every contribution you do you think about the community.
  • You have a broad experience with Java and Python.
  • Version control software like SVN and Git isn't new to you, where the emphasis is on the latter.
  • Je vindt het leuk om met een actieve community te werken, en wil er nauw bij betrokken raken
  • You are an experienced Linux user (Ubuntu and RHEL-based).
  • You have knowledge of virtualization with Linux KVM in particular.
  • You live in proximity of our office in Amsterdam or Vlissingen. Working remotely is a possibility.
